Jim Rogers

Investment Expert & Author

Jim Rogers is an author, financial commentator, adventurer, and successful international investor. He has been frequently featured in Time, The Washington Post, The New York Times, Barrons, Forbes, Fortune, The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times and many media outlets worldwide.

After attending Yale and Oxford, Rogers co-founded the Quantum Fund, a global investment partnership. During the next 10 years, the portfolio gained 4200%, while the S&P rose less than 50%. Rogers then decided to retire  at age 37.

Continuing to manage his own portfolio, Rogers served as a professor of finance at Columbia University, and, later, as the moderator of WCBS\'s \'The Dreyfus Roundtable\' and FNN\'s \'The Profit Motive with Jim Rogers\'.

He is the author of several books, including Investment Biker: On the Road with Jim Rogers, A Bull in China, and Street Smarts: Adventures on the Road and in the Markets.

Kenneth Oh

Senior Partner, Dentons Rodyk

Kenneth Oh is a senior partner in Dentons Rodyk\'s Corporate practice. He is also a partner in the firm\'s China Practice and Indonesia practice. Kenneth has been in legal practice since 1999 and focuses mainly on the areas of corporate finance and mergers & acquisitions, with a focus on equity capital markets transactions involving IPOs and RTOs of Singapore and foreign companies.

Robin Lee

Robin Lee is the co-founder and CEO of HelloGold, a financial inclusion platform that digitizes and democratizes gold fractional ownership, enabling mass market consumers to access micro savings in investment grade gold through a mobile app (both Android and iOS). The mobile apps allow users to save, borrow and send gold at a minimum transaction threshold of ~USD0.25.

Robin was the former CFO of the World Gold Council where he was also the principal accounting officer for the worlds largest gold ETF with US$30b in AUM. He was previously a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group and a regulator at the Securities Commission Malaysia.

He qualified as chartered accountant with KPMG UK and is a graduate from the University of Oxford.

Mike Kayamori

Mike brings extensive experience in Investment, Business, Management, IT and Venture Capital for over 20 years in Japan, the United States and Asia. Inspired by the innovative and disruptive technology of blockchain and digital currencies, he co-founded QUOINE in 2014 with Mario.

Prior to QUOINE, Mike was a Senior Vice President at SoftBank Group, managing its India and Asia operations, investments, joint ventures with SingTel (SingTel SoftBank Innoventures) and Bharti Group (Bharti SoftBank) and was the Chief Investment Officer of Gungho Asia, the creator of Puzzle and Dragons.

Before joining SoftBank, Mike was a Senior Director at Globespan Capital Partners, a Palo Alto-based venture capital fund with over $1.2 billion under management. He also worked at Mitsubishi Corporations New Business Initiative Group where established Natural Lawson and the joint venture with Boots to create Boots MC.

Mike holds a Bachelor of Law from the University of Tokyo and went to Harvard Business School.

Isabelle Decitre

Atul Kapur

John Kim

Managing Partner, Amasia

For the last decade before founding cross border venture capital firm Amasia, John focused on finance, serving as Senior Vice President at Mercuria Energy Group, Executive Director at Goldman Sachs and Portfolio Manager at Korean National Investments. While in these roles he managed trading and investment strategies across a diverse set of asset classes including commodities, public and private equity, fixed income and derivatives.

John started his career as an entrepreneur, founding music internet and e-consulting businesses before joining Merck & Co as a System Specialist. He left Merck to start his third company, a Delaware incorporated rock band called The Ally.

He is a Term Member at the Council on Foreign Relations, a Kauffman Fellow and a Member of the Young Leaders Circle at the Milken Institute.

Lachmi-Niwas Sadani

Khong Yuen Foong

Li Ka Shing Professor in Political Science, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy

Khong Yuen Foong is Li Ka Shing Professor in Political Science at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore.

Until 2015, he was Professor of International Relations, and a Professorial Fellow of Nuffield College, Oxford University. He has also served as Deputy Director and Director of the Institute of Defence & Strategic Studies, Nanyang Technological University from 1998-2000. He received his Ph.D. from Harvard University in 1987 and was Assistant/Associate Professor at Harvard Universitys Government Department from 1987-1994. His Ph.D. dissertation was awarded Harvards Sumner Prize for the best dissertation on war and peace in 1988.

His book, Analogies at War: Korea, Munich, Dien Bien Phu, and the Vietnam Decisions of 1965 (Princeton, 1992; sixth printing 2006) was co-winner of the American Political Science Associations Political Psychology Book Award (1994). He also received the Erik Erikson Award for distinguished early career contribution to political psychology in 1996.

Srividya Gopalakrishnan

Managing Director, Valuation Advisory Services, Duff & Phelps Singapore

Srividya is the managing director of Duff & Phelps Singapore Pte Ltd. She set up American Appraisal Singapore operations in 2012, which later got acquired by Duff & Phelps, the largest global independent valuation advisory firm.

She has over 20 years of experience in valuations, M&A, corporate finance and management consulting. She is a member of the Institute of Valuers & Appraisers of Singapore (IVAS) Council as well as the IVAS Professional Development Committee. She is also an empaneled valuer with the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) for their IP Financing Scheme.

Earlier in her career, Srividya was the Partner and Practice Leader  Valuations at Grant Thornton India and prior to that, she has also worked with Baring Communications Equity Asia (BCEA), a private equity fund in Singapore, part of the ING-Barings group and with A.F. Ferguson & Co (part of Deloitte).

Loong Mei Yin

Deputy CEO, Co-Founder & Partner, TAEL Partners

Mei Yin, with her over 20 years experience working with a diverse range of business groups in Malaysia and Thailand, has spearheaded TAEL\'s investments in these two countries. She also initiated the launch of TAEL Tijari, a Shariah compliant fund which co-invests with TAEL One and Two.

Before co-founding TAEL, she headed the Thai investment banking team of UOB Asia. She started her career in 1992 and during her tenure at Schroders Malaysia and subsequently as an executive director in UOB Asia, she spearheaded a substantial number of domestic/cross-border debt and equity capital market transactions for Malaysian and Thai business groups. Mei Yin also leads TAEL\'s investments in Myanmar which is a new market focus.

Low Han Seng

Executive Director, UOB Alternative Investment Management

Low Han Seng is primarily responsible for managing the alternative investment fund-of-funds advisory business. He has been involved in a variety of investment management functions since 1997 and has been the Secretary of the UOB Group Investment Committee for more than 10 years. He has been responsible for UOBs proprietary investment in private equity and hedge fund since 1998.

He started his career at Hewlett Packard Singapore (Sales) as a systems engineer and later joined Bain & Company (Asia) Inc. as a consultant where he was involved in helping clients in South East Asia.

Han Seng has a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Nanyang Technological Institute of Singapore and a Master of Business Administration from the European Institute of Business Administration (INSEAD) in Fontainebleau.

Vishal Kumar

Norhizam Abdul Kadir

Tee Plern Suraphongchai

Michael Montelibano

Mr. Montelibano leads Ayalas Business Development team in analysing new sectors/markets outside of the firms core businesses in the Philippines and Asia. Anson Zeall

Johan Bygge

Alasdair Thomson

Gaurav Ahuja

Sarah Chen

Corporate Ventures, Sime Darby; Co-founder, Asia Women Circle @ LeanIn.Org (Lean In Malaysia & Lean In Asia)

Sarah is focused on spurring further growth via external ventures and investments at Sime Darby, one of Asias largest conglomerates with a market cap of $13 billion.

Earlier, she spearheaded the roll out of a new corporate venture capital unit in the company that invested in precommercial companies in the biotechnology space. She also worked on a $30 million acquisition, the agreement for which was signed in the presence of former US President Obama.

Ranu Vohra

Rohan Sikri

Rohan Sikri is a Senior Partner at The Xander Group Inc., and heads the firms real estate investment management program for Asia. Based in Singapore, he chairs the investment committee for the Xander Funds and the credit committee for Xander Finance. He is also a member of the firms management committee.

Deepak I. Shahdadpuri

Deepak I. Shahdadpuri is the Founder and Managing Director of DSG Consumer Partners and has over 15 years of private equity experience. Jamaludin Bujang

Jamaludin joined MAVCAP as CEO in 2011 from another VC owned by Malaysias sovereign wealth fund.

Since joining MAVCAP, he has launched several initiatives including raising funds from regional LPs and corporates, SWFs and financial institutions and forging alliances with strategic partners to co-manage regional funds.

Jamaludin is an active member of the VC and startup space in Malaysia. He was the former chairman of the Malaysian Venture Capital Association (MVCA) and currently is a member of the Malaysian Venture Capital Development Council (MVCDC). He is also an advisor to Finnext Capital, an NGO involved in promoting local fintech companies.

Prior to his VC days, he worked with several local and international investment banks as an equity analyst for 14 years.

Yasuhiro Seo

Yasuhiro Seo is a partner at Spiral Ventures, formerly known as IMJ Investment Partners. Spiral Ventures is a venture capital firm focused on investments in Southeast Asia, India, Japan and East Asia.

Ozi Amanat

Ozi Amanat is an angel investor and founder of K2 Global, an early-stage venture capital (VC) firm focused on technology startups.

Founded in 2015, K2 helps wealthy Asian families invest in startups before they raise money through initial public offerings (IPOs). Through its first fund, the VC firm is currently invested in more than 15 companies, mostly in the technology sector.

It has invested in startups such as Uber Technologies Inc. and Spotify Ltd. In Singapore, K2 recently led a $32.5 million funding round in Paktor, the regions biggest online dating app.

Amanat was earlier the Chief investment officer at the $2-billion Spice Global Group.

Stefan Jung

Stefan is Managing Partner at Venturra Capital, a $150 million fund focused on Southeast Asia.

Previously he was a Partner at Monk\'s Hill Ventures and Founder & Managing Director of Rocket Internet Southeast Asia, where he co-founded, amongst others, Zalora and Lazada.

Imraan Mohammed is a fund manager at Bamboo Capital Partners (BCP) and head of its Asia team based in Singapore. BCP is a global emerging markets-focused private equity firm headquartered in Geneva, and with offices in Singapore, Bogota and Nairobi.

Imraan manages BCPs first Financial Inclusion Fund (FIF1) of approximately US$200 million, with investments (both direct and indirect) across Latin America, Asia and Africa, primarily within the Micro & SME banking space. He is also responsible for originating, executing and managing investments in Asia for BCPs second Financial Inclusion Fund (FIF2), which focuses on a wider universe of financial inclusion investments.

In addition to sitting on BCPs global investment committee, Imraan represents BCP as a board member on several of its investees and as a shareholder representative on others.

Michael Finn

In 2014, Michael Finn co-founded THE FIFTH COLLECTION, an award-winning luxury vintage fashion re-commerce platform with his wife Nejla Matam-Finn.

Michael started his career with Goldman Sachs in 1998 and during his six years with the firm, he was based in New York, Hong Kong, London and Zurich.

In 2005, Michael left Goldman Sachs to pursue his MBA at INSEAD and subsequently helped start PE fund Pangaea Capital Management. The fund was acquired in 2007 by Oaktree Capital Management.

He moved to Shanghai with Oaktree to help build its China business, eventually leaving to pursue his own real estate investment advisory, Compania Ltd.

Chris Pu

Marcus W. Brauchli

Rajesh Kamat

With over 10 years of professional experience in the M&A and venture capital space, Priscilla has worked with a range of companies across the growth spectrum, successfully closing 13 M&A deals valued at S$370 million across Southeast Asia, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, and making over 17 VC investments globally in the Digital Media & Technology space in Europe, U.S., Southeast Asia and the Middle East. In her role as Director of Venture Investments at REAPRA, Priscilla oversees the organization\'s venture capital strategy and management.

Ganen Sarvananthan

Jerry Ngo

Rachel Lau

Dr. Finian Tan founded Vickers Venture in 2005 with four partners. Before he started the firm, he was the managing director and head of the Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB) group of banks in Singapore and Malaysia.

Dzuleira Abu Bakar

Dzuleira Abu Bakar was appointed the CEO of Cradle Seed Ventures in August 2016.

Prior to CSV, she was the VP of Investment at the Malaysia Venture Capital Management Berhad (MAVCAP). In this role, she was responsible for identifying and investing in high growth tech/digital companies and managing strategic partnerships and corporate relations.

She has previously worked at Usaha Tegas Group, where she oversaw its fund of funds and private equity business; Maybank Investment Bank in its equity capital market department; and Khazanah Nasional, where she was part of the pioneering team of the KNB Foundation, Yayasan Hasanah.

Brijesh Pande

Brijesh Pande is the managing partner at Pepri Ventures. He also manages the ICT Fund I, a specialist VC fund investing in enterprise software companies.

Rachel Springate

Albert Shyy heads Burda Principal Investments\' Singapore office.

Kin-Wai Lau

Abhijit Ray

Abhijit has over 24 years of experience in Investment banking, Financial Services, SME Funding and Development and Impact Investing.

He co-founded Unitus Capital in 2008 and over the last nine years, has successfully led and closed multiple equity and debt transactions totalling $1.64 billion. He has also been part of the advisory committees or on the boards of debt/ equity funds in different parts of the globe.

Abhijit started his career at State Bank of India in 1993 as a probationary officer. He then moved to SIDBI and served there for over 11 years in various capacities. He joined Unitus in 2006 to develop its capital markets practice, closed six guarantee transactions and arranged portal-based funding for two MFIs. He also led a team in formulating the rural micro finance strategy for a new generation private sector bank in India.

Dean Collins

The Managing Partner of Dechert's Singapore office, Dean Collins is recognized as one of the foremost private equity lawyers in Asia and worldwide, being named in the most recent "The Legal Power 30," Private Equity International's list of the thirty most influential private equity lawyers in the world. Abraham Hidayat

Abraham is the MD of Skystar Capital, an early stage VC fund focusing on Indonesia and SEA. He led the fund since its inception in 2014 and has made investments into startups such as Hijup, Bridestory, Kudo, Carro, Julo Finance and Sweet Escape. He was previously an investment manager at Bareika, a private investment firm, and a software engineer at Gemalto, a digital security company.

Gerald Tock

Gerald is an entrepreneur/ecosystem builder based in Singapore.

Having been in the games industry since 2004, Gerald has worked across the entire ecosystem, from startup, to government, to heading operations for a government funded ecosystem catalyst. And he has active networks across Southeast Asia, China and Australia.

Gerald is currently Chief Strategy Officer at Australian-listed mobile game company iCandy Interactive, where they seek to consolidate the best game companies within Southeast Asia, while connecting them with key markets globally. (His company, Inzen, was acquired by iCandy in Apr 2017)

Raj Shastri

Etienne Legangneux

Investment Associate, Verlinvest

Etienne joined the Verlinvest team in 2014 and has been working for both the Asian and European offices. He is focused on the consumer, e-commerce and education verticals, on sourcing, disposing and management of portfolio companies. He took part in the expansion of Verlinvest in China in 2014, with an investment in New Peak Group (111.com.cn), the leading Chinese online pharmacy. He is still actively supporting the management of the company.

Before joining Verlinvest, Etienne worked for J.P. Morgan Investment Banking in London, as a member of the Consumer & Retail team. Etienne holds a MsC in International business from HEC Paris.

Sandeep Aneja

Managing Partner, Kaizen PE

Sandeep founded Kaizen in 2009 as Indias first Education focused fund, and has been instrumental in building the firm's knowledge and client networks across US, Europe and Asia.

Prior to Kaizen, his experience in venture capital in Silicon Valley at Outlook Ventures and WingSpring included working with several early stage technology companies from sourcing to exit. He combines this with experience in start-up operations leadership, and management consulting in the US. Sandeep drives overall fund strategy, investor relationships, and works closely with promoters to build a path towards successful growth and value creation.
